Last week all our Year 7 students attended camp at Ferngully Lodge in Healesville. There were many opportunities for students to make friends as they took part in a range of activities. It was great to see them move out of their comfort zones as they tackled the giant swing, the high ropes course and the zip line. On the first evening, students and staff had the wonderful experience of community as they shared in a liturgy with Father Michael and on Wednesday Mr Gleeson lead a short Ash Wednesday service. The camp concluded with a visit to the Healesville Sanctuary which was a highlight for many. A big thank you to all staff that attended the camp and provided our students with such a positive experience.
Thank you to Ms Annemarie Wilkinson and our social justice leaders for putting together a wonderful Ash Wednesday liturgy. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent in the Catholic tradition and our liturgy last week provided an opportunity for prayer, reflection and reconciliation.
We met with all our girls yesterday to clarify the College policy regarding jewellery. There have been a number of girls with nose piercings and extra ear piercings. Our policy states:
Parental support in ensuring that our students meet the uniform requirements is greatly appreciated.
Year 7 leadership provides a platform for student voice. The process for selecting Year 7 leaders is underway. We encourage all students to think about what they could contribute to our Tyabb Campus through leadership.
