The Trocaire (pronounced Trocara) Award, seeks to recognise students who exhibit a willingness to work in the spirit of their House for other members of the Padua College community or for the broader community in general. The word Trocaire is taken from the Irish and means compassion. Nominations for these awards come from House Co ordinators. We congratulate the following Trocaire award winners:

Jarrod is consistently offering to help and support those around him, be it friend, peer or staff member. He is willing to engage positively with everyone and lights up the room. On our Year 12 Retreat he demonstrated compassion and whenever we needed help, he was there to lend a hand.

Lucy was nominated by a number of Francis homeroom teachers due to her commitment to varied extra-curricular activities, both within the Padua community and externally. She does well to maintain the important balance between her school work and sport. Lucy always wears her uniform with pride and makes a concerted effort to be respectful to both staff and her peers alike. She is the model student at Padua College.
Antony is a hard working student who always shows care and responsibility for those around him.
