Padua Careers 2020

In 2020 our Careers team will be working with all students across the College to assist them in preparing for their future career paths. Our aim is to help them to make a successful transition from school to further education, training, work or a combination of these. In term one we work closely with our Year 12 students, starting with their individual pathway plans and one-on-one interviews, which have already commenced. In term three we assist with VTAC applications and preparations for further study or employment. All other year levels will be involved in a range of career-based activities and support during the year.

Our Careers office is resourced with support materials to assist our students with job information, resume preparation, work placements, university and further study options.

The Padua College Careers website has a wealth of information on all things related to ‘careers’. This website is a very useful resource to check regularly for updates, VTAC information, calendar of dates, newsletters and links to TAFEs and universities.

Our office is located in room U103 at the Mornington Campus and students are more than welcome to call in to make an appointment, or email the careers staff member for their House cluster:

Class of 2019 - Where are they now?

The following information provides a summary of how our 2019 Year 12 students fared in terms of selection to tertiary education institutions in Victoria. The information is collected by the Victoria Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC), which administers the application processes for places in tertiary courses at universities, some TAFEs and other independent tertiary colleges in Victoria.

We are pleased to announce that 85% of our 2019 Year 12 students who applied to a tertiary institution through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) received an offer in round one. The following figures do not include students who applied for courses at institutions that administer their own entry processes or offer direct entry, independent of the VTAC system, nor those that received interstate offers.

*Note: Information is correct as at 13/02/20 after Round 3 offers. Some students received another offer in a later round after changing their preferences (28 students).
