We’re excited to announce the launch of the Padua Virtual Cross Country Carnival where students, staff and families can all join in the fun.
Current guidelines and social distancing restrictions allow daily exercise (max of one hour) no more than five kilometres from home. So right now we can still get out for a run and record a time.
The competition challenges participants to walk, jog, run and record a time over a distance and then upload that to the Google Classroom as an Assignment. To submit a recorded time students are required to run the following distances:
Year 7 Girls 3km Year 7 Boys 3km
Year 8 Girls 3km Year 8 Boys 4km
Year 9 Girls 3km Year 9 Boys 4km
Year 10 Girls 3km Year 10 Boys 4km
Year 11 Girls 3km Year 11 Boys 4km
Year 12 Girls 3km Year 12 Boys 4km
Parents and staff can submit a 5km time and the fastest time will be announced. The fastest time in each gender and each age group will receive a medal. Please note we recognise that the terrain and course will vary. The emphasis is on getting out and exercising.
Please note this activity is entirely optional. It is certainly not compulsory and is at the discretion of families.
Simply upload your run to the assignment on Google Classroom below with the following information:
YOU CAN START NOW!
Please submit each run that you complete in a Google Slide. You can submit as many runs or as few as you may like. More importantly have fun, stay safe and adhere to government guidelines on where and how you can run!
The event will conclude on Wednesday 16 September.
Please contact your Campus Sports Co-ordinator if you have any questions regarding the carnival.
GOOD LUCK!
