Over the past five weeks six Year 9 students have been undertaking extension studies with John Monash Science School, whilst still meeting the demands of their regular classwork. These students are Trent Watson, Merlyn Jojy, Matt Dowling, Ruby Bisogni, Henry Connolly and Amelia Pincre. They are now entering week five of their course which means that they are having to submit assignments and complete quizzes as part of the first assessment phase.
Merlyn Jojy has been researching the history of nanotechnology (see below) as part of the Nanotechnology course she is undertaking.
Last Thursday we had our online Assemblies. All year 9 students were given the opportunity to submit any questions regarding the transition from the Rosebud Campus to Year 10 at the Mornington Campus. Some of these questions included:
These are great and fair questions and over the coming weeks and during the Year 10 Transition all of these questions and more will be answered.
While working onsite, some of our students have devised a way to scare away the nesting magpies that are being very protective of their environment at the moment.
This is called a Scare-pie and is designed by Mia Grierson, Sienna Nardone and Ayla Ellis with the help of Ms Coggins.
