As we come to the end of another wonderful year at Padua Tyabb Campus, I want to take a moment to reflect on what makes our community so special. This year has been filled with growth, learning, and countless examples of kindness, courage, and respect. I have been privileged to witness our students and staff embody the Paduan values that define us as a Catholic school and as a Franciscan and Mercy community.
One of the highlights of our final assembly was the opportunity to present awards that recognise not just achievement, but character. These awards celebrate students who have shown resilience, compassion, and integrity. Those who have lifted others up and contributed to the vibrant, inclusive spirit of Tyabb. It is this spirit that makes our campus such a strong and supportive environment for all. Photos below.
A special mention goes to our Year 9 students, who now prepare to continue their education at Mornington Campus. While you will be learning on another site, you take with you the Tyabb spirit. A spirit of warmth, respect, and a desire to succeed. Continue to be kind, be brave, and be the change you want to see in the world. Thank you for all you have given to our community; your example will remain with us.
We also proudly acknowledge our newly announced 2026 student leaders. Leadership is a privilege and a responsibility, and we encourage you to approach your roles with humility, courage, and a commitment to serve others. Be inclusive, listen deeply, and lead by example, always remembering that true leadership is about lifting others up and creating a community where everyone feels valued.
As we move into the festive season, let us pause and remember the true meaning of Christmas with Christ at the heart of our celebrations. This is a time to reflect on the Catholic social teachings that guide us: caring for the vulnerable, acting with justice, and nurturing peace in our homes and communities. It is also a time to show gratitude, to your families, friends, and to all who have supported you throughout the year. Celebrate the special relationships that enrich your life and the wonderful community we share here at Padua Tyabb.
Take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the holidays safely. Look out for your friends and return refreshed and ready for the opportunities and challenges of the new year.
On behalf of all of us at Padua Tyabb, I wish you and your families a joyful Christmas and a blessed New Year. May peace and happiness fill your homes and may Christ’s love guide you always.
Loving God,
We thank You for the blessings of this year, the friendships, the learning, and the growth we have shared. We ask You to guide our Year 9 students as they begin a new chapter, and to keep all of us safe during the holidays. May we celebrate Christmas with joy, remembering Christ at the heart of our lives. Help us return refreshed, ready to grow in faith, wisdom, and love in the year ahead.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Director – Tyabb Campus
Academic Excellence and Endeavour Award Assemblies were held across the three Padua College campuses last Wednesday to acknowledge those students who demonstrated consistency of effort and achievement to place in the top ten percent of their campus cohort for a given subject. We also celebrated those who demonstrated excellence in the fields of sports, performing arts and contribution to community. Details of award recipients and more photos will be available in Friday’s final 2025 edition of the Paduan newsletter.
As the school year draws to a close, we congratulate our students for embracing opportunities for growth and learning, and for persistence and endeavour in pursuit of their goals. We thank our staff and Padua families for their commitment and support in helping each student constantly strive to reach their full potential.
