Interhouse Athletics Day – A Day of Spirit, Competition, and Community
On Friday 25 July, students from both our Tyabb and Rosebud Campuses gathered for the much-anticipated Interhouse Athletics Day. Despite the chilly weather, spirits were high — and thankfully, the rain held off, allowing for a full day of fun, fitness, and friendly competition.
It was a delight to see students proudly dressed in their House colours, cheering each other on and giving their all in a range of track and field events. The energy and enthusiasm shown by all participants truly captured the heart of what the day was all about: House pride, teamwork, and personal achievement.
At the Tyabb Campus, the competition was fierce, but it was Doyle House who came out on top, claiming victory by 50 points over McCormack, with Geoghegan and Cardijn following closely behind. Congratulations to all the students who contributed to their House performance throughout the day.
Special mention to our fastest runners Arneis Markham Year 9 McCormack, and Blake Garth Year 8 McCormack for their speed and determination.
For Rosebud the winning House was Goold on 548 points, closely followed by Anthony on 525 points. A special mention to Rosebud’s fastest runners Tom McGough Year 9 Goold, and Ruby Carrol, Year 8 Anthony.
We would like to extend a massive thank you to all the dedicated staff who made this event possible. Your time, effort, and willingness to brave the cold ensured a memorable and successful day for everyone involved.
It was wonderful to witness such strong community spirit and sportsmanship across both campuses. We look forward to seeing what next year’s Athletics Day will bring!
