Veneris Stephen 2024

Stephen Veneris

Term 3 is now in full swing and as always there is so much happening at Padua College, amongst the amazing College Production, “Guys and Dolls”, SIS Sport, House Athletics Carnival, Peer Mentoring and of course, we also have our day-to-day lessons and activities.

Guys and Dolls

I would like to add my congratulations and thanks to the many staff involved in providing this opportunity for all the students at Padua. On behalf of the Mornington Junior Campus, I would particularly like to thank Production Director - Kylie Donnelly, and her team, Phil Helisma, Sam Noonan, Gabe Noonan, Jodie Williams, Laura Noonan, Chris Ryan and many more.

I am in awe of these generous people who gave up so many of their time over many evenings to ensure the Production was a success. Well done one and all.

However, my biggest accolades are reserved for the stars of the show, our students. It was magnificent to see students come together across all Padua Campuses to produce a show of which they can all be proud and which will live in their memories… for ever!

Semester One Awards

As settle into Term 3 we congratulate our students on their accomplishments over the course of semester one and commend our Junior Academic and Endeavour Awards winners. The ceremonies, held across all three campuses at the end of Term 2, provided the perfect opportunity to recognise and celebrate such achievements. Congratulations to our Mornington Junior students.

House Athletics

House athletics were held earlier this term at Casey Fields, students and staff enjoyed a day of activity and competition. Thanks greatly to Mr Morgan, Ms Hutchison and the entire team who facilitated a successful day.

Final results:

  1. Sebastian
  2. Romero
  3. Kolbe

Congratulations to both Marli Parrish and Tom Busby for winning the Sprinters of the Meet races, and congratulations also to Mr Egan as House Coordinator of the winning House… which I believe is a clean sweep for Sebastian House this year across, Swimming, Cross-Country and now Athletics…a draft system is being discussed for future House allocations.

For photos of the Athletics, please see the Sports Report.

Wishing you all continued blessings,

Stephen Veneris

Deputy Principal
Head of 7-10 Campus, Mornington
