New Padua College Football & Netball Uniform

Padua College is proud to unveil new sports uniforms for our male and female football teams, and our netballers. These uniforms are more than just apparel — they represent a shared identity and foster a strong sense of pride and unity among our students, a shared team commitment and school spirit.

SIS Cross Country

Written by two Year 12 students who have represented Padua College since Year 7 and continued to place first and second in their final year at the College. Well done girls!

SIS Cross Country provided an exciting opportunity to step beyond the classroom, represent our College, and connect with students from schools across the region. Despite gusty winds and a chilling drizzle threatening to dampen spirits, the lure of competition remained strong. As always, perseverance conquered all, and on the morning of Tuesday, July 27th, our determined competitors arrived ready to proudly represent Padua.

The course was marked as a flat, 3km track around the ovals at Casey fields, with many people on bikes as hares, leading the way for our runners. With times as fast as 9 ½ minutes for a 3km loop, we knew the competition was tough! Fortunately, we saw many Padua students place in the top 10, on the podium and even coming 1st. At the end of the day Padua College left with a whopping 9 out of the 12 flags, as well as the junior, intermediate, and senior shields.

SIS Cross country 2025 was a fantastic effort on behalf of every Padua student who came along. All students had great enthusiasm and passion which truly showed on the course and the sidelines where we were cheering each other on. There’s really nothing like spending a day out in the cold wind and rain, running through the weather with friends and laughing about the dedication of us Paduans.

With lower numbers than hoped, we still managed to call in all of our runners to get out to Casey and give it their best, some of which marked their first or last cross country of high school. Overall we managed to take home the win and do our school proud for the 37th year in a row! I’m so grateful to have had such an awesome team of staff and peers this year like every year who make it a fantastic day

VCC Basketball

Backing up a successful 2024 campaign, our Intermediate Boys and Girls were excited to compete again in the Victorian Secondary School Competition, with our Senior Boys and Girls now receiving a great opportunity to follow in their footsteps.

With the highs and lows of ruthless division 1 competition from our opposition schools, Padua attained three bids into the Grand Final for three out of our four teams, with our Senior Girls taking home the Gold Medal!

Well done, and congratulations to all players, coaches, and support staff for their efforts throughout the competition.

SIS Weekly Sport

SIS Netball has been so much fun this season! Rosebud Padua has both a C and a D team, and everyone has been playing so well. My team, the C team, is undefeated, winning all their games. We’ve really enjoyed traveling to places like Casey and Tyabb for our games, but we’ve also loved playing at home with our friends cheering us on. With just one game left, we’re all excited to finish the season strong and have lots of fun!

Aerobics

Huge congratulations to the three Padua College teams that participated in the Schoolaerobics Australian State Championships over the weekend. Well done to the Rosebud ‘Rosies’ and our Junior Year 7 Mornington team - while they did not make it through to the state finals, they represented the College with pride and gave fantastic performances. All eyes on the Year 8 Panthers who came second in their division and are now heading to the Nationals in Hobart this August.

Padua Equestrian Team

Recent events in the Victorian Interschool Equestrian program have seen several Padua College riders out and about, competing for the college. Grace Hamilton (Year 9 Kolbe) was chosen for the Victorian show jumping team, while Felicity Quinlan (Year 9 Chisholm) and Claudia Lewis (Year 11Djeembana) have been competing in the dressage, all at the VEIS Grand Final at Werribee. Claudia competed in the grand final event on the weekend and placed 5th in both her classes.

Claudia finished overall 5th for the series in her class. Resulting in 2nd Reserve for Nationals. Congratulations Claudia, what a superb result!
