The annual Teen Chef Competition took place this week with our Years 9-11 students showcasing great creativity, skill, and enthusiasm in their culinary creations. Judges included local chefs Guy Mirabela, Jacqui Poulier and Anna Gentile, who commented on the outstanding attention to detail, creativity and level of technical expertise demonstrated. “Just as impressive were their positive attitudes, excellent manners, willingness to learn and the respect they showed each other throughout the competition” Jacqui Poulier added. Selecting winners proved difficult, but we congratulate the following students, who will represent Padua College at the SIS Teen Chef Finals next term:

Toby KS won the ‘Chef of the Day’ award from Guy Mirabella who gifted him a copy of his most recent recipe book. Congratulations to all of our Teen Chef participants, to our dedicated staff, and our thanks to the judges who gave so generously of their time and expertise to provide feedback and inspiration for our young chefs.
