Year 7-9

Please note that the student device program for students commencing Year 7 in 2027 has changed from previous years.

To support a consistent and effective learning experience, Padua College has partnered with Edunet to provide a fully configured and supported device for all incoming Year 7 students. The College has selected the Acer TravelMate B3 Spin 12 as the required device for Year 7 students in 2027, which must be purchased through the Padua College Edunet Portal.

Devices ordered through the College portal are specially prepared for use at Padua College and are enrolled in the College’s device management environment before delivery. This ensures that each device arrives fully configured, secure, and ready for use from the first day of school.

This approach is the result of extensive research and careful consideration of the learning needs of our students. By standardising a Windows-based platform for our junior students, the College can provide:

  • A consistent classroom experience
  • Streamlined technical support
  • Standardised software installation and updates
  • More efficient troubleshooting by the College IT team

This model helps ensure students have access to a reliable, secure, and well-supported device that enhances their learning experience throughout their secondary education.

Year 10-12

The Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program at Padua remains unchanged. That is, students can use any device to do work at the College excluding mobile phones, Android tablets, iPads and Google Chromebooks devices.

Whilst not mandatory, if you choose to purchase a new laptop we do recommend that students purchase one of the devices listed above including three-year accidental coverage protection.
