Transition to Secondary School

The move from primary to secondary school is one of the most significant and exciting milestones in a student’s life.

At Padua College, we see this time as an exciting opportunity for growth. Embracing a new environment, building friendships, and confidently stepping into the journey from childhood to adolescence.

Our Transition Program is designed to support students through this change, building their wellbeing, resilience and confidence.

I was nervous about attending the Year 7 camp. However, I put my personal feelings aside and ended up really enjoying the activities which were all about teamwork and trusting each other

Laying the foundation for success

Our transition program inspires confidence, creates a welcoming environment, supports understanding of school routines, and lays the foundation for a strong partnership between families and the College.

A welcome video featuring current Year 7 students offers incoming students a glimpse of Padua life and answers common questions as they prepare for secondary school.

At Padua College, we deeply value parents as a child’s first and most important educators, and by working together we ensure each student’s transition is smooth, supportive, and rewarding; laying the foundation for success in their secondary school journey.
