Padua College provides a comprehensive range of VCE subjects and programs for personalised pathways that best support individual strengths, interests, and future study or career requirements.
The Victorian Certificate of Education
The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) at Padua College offers students a dynamic and personalised senior secondary experience, with one of the widest selections of subjects available. Designed for students in Years 11 and 12, the VCE program allows students to tailor their studies to suit their individual interests, strengths, and future aspirations. With extensive subject choice and strong academic support, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, develop independent learning skills, and achieve their personal best.
VCE provides a strong foundation for diverse pathways, including university, TAFE, apprenticeships, and employment.
VCE Vocational Major
The VCE Vocational Major (VM) at Padua College is a dynamic and practical two-year program designed for students who are ready to learn through real-world experiences and hands-on projects.
This pathway is ideal for students interested in moving into apprenticeships, traineeships, further education, non-ATAR university pathways, or entering the workforce directly.
Learning in the VCE VM is all about relevance and connection. Projects are based on real-world scenarios and are tailored to interests, strengths, and career goals. You'll build essential workplace skills, grow in confidence, and develop the capabilities needed to thrive in life beyond school.
With greater choice and flexibility, the VCE VM empowers you to pursue what you're passionate about while preparing you to succeed in a fast-changing world.
VCE VM is the perfect balance between doing schoolwork and working in the industry you want to be in. It was the ideal pathway to extend my learning beyond the classroom and gain valuable workplace experience. You gain a lot of skills in personal development and work-related skills classes, and a lot of real-life skills in maths and literacy.
