Padua College offers instrumental lessons on a wide range of instruments:

Ensemble Program
Padua College offers Year 7 and 8 students the opportunity to learn bass guitar or a new woodwind, brass, string, or percussion instrument are offered a 50% discount on instrumental lessons and the opportunity to participate in the Training Band or String Ensemble Program.
Students in Years 9–12 who play a concert band or string instrument have the exciting chance to join a College band that matches their skill and experience. After progressing through the Training Band Program, they can step into a campus-based Concert Band, Strings Ensemble, or Percussion Ensemble, where they continue to develop their musical talents. For those looking for an extra challenge, talented performers may also be invited to join the College Stage Band or Groove Orchestra, offering thrilling opportunities to explore advanced repertoire and perform in dynamic, high-energy settings.
Contemporary Bands Program
Padua College celebrates a wide variety of contemporary instruments and music styles, from rock, metal, reggae, pop, funk, and R&B to jazz and fusion. Our Contemporary Music Program offers students countless ways to perform, with options including year-level Rock Bands, Stage Band, Groove Orchestra, as well as student-led bands and solo performances. With so many ensembles to explore, students can find their sound, collaborate with peers, and experience the excitement of performing contemporary music on stage (please note that bands and ensembles may vary by campus).
