Wellbeing at the heart
The wellbeing and pastoral care of our students are of the utmost importance to all of us at Padua College.
We recognise that when students have a healthy concept of self, can identify and regulate their emotions/thoughts and are resilient, their learning outcomes increase.
At Padua College, we actively support and safeguard student wellbeing through a holistic network of programs and structures. Our eXcel program provides students with practical strategies to enhance emotional literacy, resilience and positive relationships, while our qualified counselling team offers confidential support to assist students develop necessary skills to manage challenges encountered in their education.
This is complemented by our comprehensive Pastoral System, where dedicated Pastoral Leaders and homeroom teachers build strong, ongoing connections with students and monitor their overall wellbeing. Our House System further strengthens this sense of belonging, fostering community, mentorship and peer support across year levels.
Together, these layers of care ensure that every student feels seen, supported and empowered to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
