Koala Habitat Project

In 2024, Padua College partnered with the Mornington Peninsula Koala Conservation to work on the Western Port koala habitat corridor at its Tyabb Campus on Frankston-Flinders Road.

With the support of local conservationists, community volunteers and staff, students planted over 1,200 native trees and shrubs, providing much needed food and shelter for the local koala population.

The College is delighted to have been awarded the Sustainability and Greening of a Heritage Place Award from the National Trust Heritage Awards in Victoria in 2025 in recognition of this project.
