Performing Arts Showcase

On Thursday May 28 the Padua College Performing Arts Showcase demonstrated a tremendous celebration of the talent, creativity and dedication of our students and staff. Across 22 performances, students from Years 7–12 took to the stage and shared their gifts with confidence, passion and professionalism in front of a packed PAC audience. It was a wonderful evening of entertainment and a reminder of the richness of the Performing Arts culture within our College community.

Opportunities such as this do not simply happen. They are the result of countless hours of preparation, rehearsals, organisation, encouragement and support behind the scenes. I would like to sincerely thank and congratulate the Performing Arts Team for the extraordinary work that goes into creating an evening of this quality and providing our students with such meaningful opportunities to shine.

While there is always a risk of unintentionally missing someone, I would particularly like to acknowledge and thank: Paul Jenkins, Jackie Sannia, Nathan Bentley, Jodie Williams, Kylie Donnelly, Sam Clough, Dave Tohill, Jack Manning, Rowena Young, Tania Edwards, Kate Makrikostas, Jason Rodi, Jamie Grima, Gabby Parker and Simon Best.

Thank you also to all staff who attended and supported the evening in so many ways including supervision of the performers between acts, along with the many families and friends who filled the PAC and created such a warm and encouraging atmosphere for our students.

Most importantly, congratulations to all of our performers. Their courage to step onto the stage, their commitment to their craft and the joy they brought to the audience made for a truly memorable evening. We are incredibly proud of each of them.
