The Padua College community is celebrating the outstanding achievement of Year 10 MacKillop student Tom McGough, who proudly represented Australia in the Men's 100m T38 at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Competing against some of the Commonwealth's finest athletes on Tuesday 28 July (AEST), Tom delivered a remarkable performance, finishing 4th in the final with an impressive time of 11.74 seconds. At just 15 years of age, Tom's achievement is a testament to his talent, dedication and determination.
Representing Australia on the international stage is an honour earned through years of hard work and commitment, and Tom rose to the occasion with confidence and pride in the green and gold.
The entire Padua College community could not be prouder of Tom's efforts and the way he represented both his country and our College. We congratulate him on this incredible result and look forward to following his athletic journey in the years ahead.
Congratulations, Tom, on an outstanding Commonwealth Games debut!
