Top Class
Padua College is delighted to celebrate the outstanding success of three students who have been invited to perform at the prestigious Top Class Concert as part of the VCAA Season of Excellence.
This invitation is reserved for students who achieve exceptional results in their VCE Music performance examinations and are hand-selected by a panel of assessors to showcase their work at Melbourne’s Recital Centre, Southbank. With only a small number of students chosen from across the state each year, having three performers selected from Padua College is an extraordinary achievement and a testament to the dedication, discipline and countless hours of private practice required to perform at this level.
We congratulate Amelia Wilkinson (VCE VET Music – Voice, Class of 2026), Jake Symes (VCE Music – Guitar, Class of 2025) and Emily McGough (VCE VET Music – Bass Guitar, Class of 2025), three highly talented and committed young musicians with very bright futures.
This nomination also highlights the collaborative spirit of the Performing Arts Department, with fellow student musicians supporting the final examinations and joining the performers on stage at the Melbourne Recital Centre, and a credit to Padua College’s outstanding VCE Music program, led by Director of Performing Arts Paul Jenkins and VCE Music Teacher Jodie Williams.
Please join us in congratulating Amelia, Jake and Emily and wishing them every success for their performance on Tuesday 31 March.
