On Friday 28 August, Padua College students participated in the August Art Attack Art Show, an annual community art and sculpture exhibition hosted at Crib Point Community House.
The competition was fierce with the largest number of art entries to date. The evening began with a full house for the awards ceremony, with students, families and members of the Mornington Peninsula arts community in attendance. It was such a privilege to walk through the exhibition and hear so much praise for the artworks created by our Padua College students. It was equally wonderful to see the pride and excitement of families celebrating their child's achievements.
The exhibition included three major prize categories – Primary, Secondary School and Adult – in which several of our Padua students received awards and acknowledgements:
Best in Show – Secondary School Category
Kristina H – Beetle
Honourable Mention – Secondary School Category
Luella D V – Rainbow Lorikeet
Honourable Mention – Secondary School Category
Callum R – Point Nepean
People’s Choice Award – Secondary School Category
Luella D V – Rainbow Lorikeet
To top off an already fantastic result, Luella also sold her artwork, which is always an exciting bonus and a wonderful acknowledgement of her work.
