Fostering learning, creativity and community

Padua College is supported by three library resource centres, each dedicated to fostering a love of reading and literacy through a contemporary approach. Our libraries provide access to a wide range of resources, from traditional print books to digital formats, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our students. In many cases, we also create original content tailored specifically for their learning journey.

The library team partners with staff and students in both junior and senior school, helping them build strong, discerning skills in information research and evaluation, responsible digital citizenship, and media and literacy development. These essential skills underpin success in both academic settings and the broader digital landscape.

Our Library also manages the College’s borrowable technical resources, providing teachers and students with access to a wide variety of equipment such as drones, 3d printers, Virtual Reality and a wide variety of AV cameras.   The library also houses Photocopying and printing equipment for staff and student use.

The library at each campus has spaces dedicated to reading, learning and studying, both for classes and for individual students. This all takes place in an open-plan environment. Our inter-campus loan system gives extensive access to resources for all library users.

Our libraries offer a range of engaging lunchtime activities designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and community.  Students can take part in variety of events and clubs such as book clubs, movie club, board games groups, LEGO building, chess and the Library Leadership program.

The Padua Library website provides students with access to a comprehensive collection of resources including international newspapers, magazines, databases, encyclopedias, eBooks and audiobooks, a comprehensive Library catalogue, and a growing number of subject guides.
