Speech & Drama Lessons
Our Speech & Drama program offers students from Years 7 to 12 the opportunity to develop their acting, public speaking, and presentation skills. Lessons are available both individually and in small groups (for Year 7 students only), tailored to meet the needs of each student.
Our programs are designed to enhance verbal fluency, self-confidence, and creative expression whilst preparing students for external examinations (Trinity/AMEB) and providing support for those interested in VCE Theatre Studies, Drama, or auditioning for theatre roles.
College Production
Every two years, Padua College brings the stage to life with a vibrant musical production that welcomes all students who audition, no matter their experience. With casts often exceeding 150 performers, these shows combine high-quality performance with an inclusive spirit that encourages students to explore their creativity and build confidence.
In alternating years, the College showcases a senior play produced through the Theatre Studies class, offering older students a chance to take on more advanced dramatic roles.
Throughout the year, students also shine in a variety of showcases, performances, and events that highlight their acting, singing, dancing, and backstage talents. Past award-winning productions include Guys & Dolls, Mamma Mia, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, and School of Rock, which reflecting the rich and dynamic tradition of performing arts at Padua.
