Using industry-standard software and equipment such as Computer-Aided Design, 3D printing, and laser cutting, students experience first-hand how technology drives modern design and manufacturing. These skills not only foster creativity but also prepare students for the future of work in design and technology fields.
Design Technology provides a pathway into a wide variety of emerging and established careers, from industrial and product design, architecture, and interior design, to engineering, automotive innovation, aerospace, construction, sustainable technologies, and digital fabrication. Students develop transferable skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, project management, and innovation, all highly valued in today’s global and rapidly evolving industries.
