Intermediate Boys' Football Team

The Intermediate Boys' Football team (Mornington Campus) made its debut for the 2017 season with a dominant win over Cornish College last Friday afternoon. The team, capably led by Captain (and birthday boy!) Luke Graetz, and Vice-captain Corey Marshall, brought a professional attitude to the game and this was evident in the first quarter with six strong goals being scored by a variety of players, and strong defensive and mid-field work from Declan Cole, Taj Westworth, Bailey Cole and and Joel Stevens created many opportunities for our forwards. There were great examples of team work as the game progressed with players linking beautifully from the backline, through the mid-field and into the forward line. Callum Crank (3 goals), Luke Travaglini, Luca Goonan, Rueben Higgins, Max Scott, Adam Walker, Matthew Caine and (2 goals each) were creating havoc in the forward line and kept the scoreboard clicking over. It was truly a great team effort with all players providing strong leadership throughout the game. The game was played in excellent spirit by both sides and it was a great example of what sport should be about at this level.

Final Score:
Padua College 19.17.131
Cornish College 2.1.13
